New Polling Shows Opposition Growing, Support Stagnant for Amendment 3 Despite $5 Million in Unanswered TV Spending

Tallahassee, Fla. – The Vote No on 3 Campaign today released new polling results that highlight how support for Amendment 3 is stuck in the mud and its opposition has grown, despite proponents spending nearly $5 million on television ads in multiple major markets across Florida unanswered.

The polling memo is available here.

When the issue was first polled in February, 65% of likely Florida general election voters said they supported Amendment 3 with 22% opposing it. Now, four months later, the only thing that has increased is its opposition, with 64% supporting Amendment 3 and 27% opposed.

ABOUT

The Vote No on 3 Campaign is running a vigorous and full-throated campaign to warn Floridians about this deceptive amendment seeking to make Florida the California of the east – a notion anathema to most Floridians. The campaign will highlight how Amendment 3 will cause the black market to explode; make pot more prevalent and more readily accessible for our children; has no time, place, or manner restrictions, meaning it does not limit where people can smoke marijuana – including being able to use it in apartments, hotels, condos and public beaches – even if children are around – without facing any consequences; and does not provide a plan for how the money generated from marijuana sales will be allocated.
